Join us on May 2nd from 6-7pm for an interactive chat with Edinburgh designer Jen Byrne! Jen will be chatting about her design process, and demonstrating how to recreate pattern placement with her new pattern, the Tilly blouse, from Issue 15 of TAUKO Magazine.
Jen Byrne is an award winning slow fashion designer, curating heirloom fabrics to design modern wearable garments, showcasing the beauty to be found in reclaimed textiles.
Having Masters with Distinction on the subject, sustainability & ethics are at the heart of her process and inform every decision. Impeccable quality and attention to detail are staples of the brand, solidified by feedback from new and loyal customers alike.
Each piece is designed and made in Jen’s Edinburgh Studio with no part of a cherished textile going to waste. Offcuts are utlilsed in unique accessories, appliqué or hand stamped labels.
All aspects of the process are carried out in house, from design to pattern drafting, prototyping and fitting to grading, sewing, packing and shipping.
