Corner to corner (C2C) is a moving on from beginners crochet workshop. Join us in person at the beautiful 24 Royal Terrace boutique hotel for an afternoon of crochet, chats, prosecco, tea & scones on Sunday 28 May at 1pm - 4pm.
Corner-to-corner is a great technique to add to your repertoire of crochet, and simply builds on basic crochet skills. Beginning in one corner with an afghan square you continue to work on the diagonal to build these cute little boxes to the opposite end of your work which develops a beautiful textured look, sure to impress. A very mindful crochet technique.
The workshops are 8 people maximum, so book along with a pal if you fancy!
Skills required: This class will be suitable if you’re a practiced beginner or as a refresher for someone wanting to pick up crochet again; you will be able to chain and make trebles.
Your kit will includes: 100grams of soft organic wool in 4 different shades with which to crochet a baby-sized blanket (approx 28in x 28in / 70 x 70 cm).
Materials required: Please bring along or purchase a 4.0mm crochet hook. This is not included in the kit.
If you would like to make a larger blanket, you will need to order additional wool. With an additional 6 skeins of wool costing an additional £42, your blanket will measure approximately 52in x 52in /130cm x 130cm. Please get in touch if you would prefer this option. And if you don't see anything you fancy kit-wise, please get in touch and we can put together something to suit your taste. Whichever kit you choose will be waiting for you at the workshop.
24 Royal Terrace is an independent family-run boutique hotel situated in Central Edinburgh at the foot of Calton Hill. The hotel is nestled amongst the grand Georgian townhouses on Royal Terrace. The lounge where the workshop is held is on the ground floor and fully accessible.
*No refunds for the workshop will be issued once your space is booked. If you are unable to attend or unwell, you will be issued a store credit to use as you like (perhaps a spot on the next workshop).
