A Crochet Improvers Workshop with Karen Thomson
The beautiful Fronds Shawl is inspired by palm leaves and is worked using a simple technique which quickly grows into stunning wrap.
As a crochet improver you are confident holding your hook and yarn, and competent making chains, trebles, and identifying working into stitches.
The repetitive construction of the Fronds Shawl will build confidence, move your crochet skills on, and allow you to become proficient in reading crochet patterns.
We will begin our shawl in class with your chosen kit and you’ll have everything you need to finish it at home.
The workshops are 8 people maximum, so book along with a pal if you fancy!
Your kit includes:
- 200 grams of DK weight super soft merino wool in your chosen colour
- Fronds Shawl pattern
What you need to bring along (not included):
- 5.0mm crochet hook
- Darning needle
And if you don't see anything you fancy kit-wise, please get in touch and we can put together something to suit your taste.
Whichever kit you choose will be waiting for you at the workshop.
24 Royal Terrace is an independent family-run boutique hotel situated in Central Edinburgh at the foot of Calton Hill. The hotel is nestled amongst the grand Georgian townhouses on Royal Terrace. The lounge where the workshop is held is on the ground floor and fully accessible.
