"Learn to Knit, Love to Knit" is my first book, published by Quadrille in 2012. It contains 20 projects to hand knit. The first 10 projects are simpler, designed to gradually introduce a beginner to new techniques, to build their confidence in the craft, and then the final 10 projects are slightly more difficult, maybe a little more time consuming or requiring complete concentration - but achievable nonetheless!

LEARN TO KNIT, LOVE TO KNIT

"Learn to Knit, Love to Knit is a collection of twenty garments and accessories that not only teaches you the basics of the craft but give results that will be the envy of all your friends. With the ten Learn to Knit designs, Anna Wilkinson shows how you can make covetable accessories with just a few basic techniques. The simplest stocking stitch scarf knitted as long as you dare in quick-to-knit chunky yarn and colourful wristwarmers with contrast colour rib cuffs are the perfect project to practice the most basic knitting skills. The Learn to Knit designs then move on introduce other techniques, including the detachable collar and eyelet lace top with bow, which are both simple projects with which to hone your lace knitting skills.

Colourful, fun and highly desirable, Anna's designs are flattering to women of all shapes and exceptionally easy to wear. The textured cape, knitted in a gorgeous two-colour, tweed-effect stitch, can just as easily be thrown over jeans as worn with something more dressy. Either way, the wow-effect of this knitted cape encapsulates the essence of the ten Love to Knit designs - unique investments-piece knits that provide proficient knitters with a little bit more of a challenge and give the beginner knitter a goal to work towards.

Anna is on hand throughout with a ready-reference of techniques and tips to guide you through the basic knitting skills. So, if you have ever really wanted to learn to knit but are yet to be tempted by the right beginner's projects, then Learn to Knit, Love to Knit is the book for you."
