A celebration of Ginger Twist Studio's 7th Birthday, the Septennial Twist Shrug is designed with two of Ginger's Hand Dyed favourite yarns held together to create a beautifully soft and draping fabric.
The shrug is knit sideways as a flat rectangle then folded in half and partially sewn to create armholes. Stitches are then picked up around the sleeve and body openings to be finished off with ribbing.
The colourway shown in the sample pictured is 'Voyager.' Each printed pattern also comes with a download code for the digital version.

Tools Required:
- 5mm/ US 8 (or size required to achieve gauge) 80cm/32” circular needle
- 4mm/ US 6 (or two needle sizes below gauge needle) 80cm circular needle, and preferred needles for working small circumferences.

Sizing:
The shrug should be worn with a loose fit. Two sizes are included in the pattern: Small: sleeves reach the elbow and the shrug length sits at the lower back. Large: sleeves reach mid-forearm and the shrug length sits over the bum. The following dimensions are actual body measurements which are relevant for both the large and small size:
- Shoulder Width: 35-45 cm / 14-18”
- Bust: 75-150 cm / 30-60“
- Arm Circumference (just below elbow): 20-30 cm / 8-11.75“
