AMY PALKO

CURATING COLOUR PALETTES FOR SOULFUL SELF-EXPRESSION WITH AMY PALKO :: 6-7PM 19TH SEPTEMBER

£15.00

A lover of shawls and of colour, Amy Palko will be sharing with you some of her strategies for curating colour palettes, along with why it’s so important that we develop creative sovereignty through colour confidence. Together we’ll look at some sources for inspiration and Amy will demonstrate how she has chosen colours for some of her favourites from her shawl collection. We hope you’ll join us for an evening of colour, creativity and much inspiration!

A life long and enthusiastic knitter, Amy Palko launched her podcast The Meaningful Stitch in 2020 as a way of bringing together her love of story and her love of yarn. Each episode is introduced by the drawing of a card from one of her many tarot and oracle decks, as a way of encouraging self reflection and deep thinking as a core component of a making practice. She also launched her Patreon earlier that same year: a digital space where myth, memoir and making meet.

Amy lives in Edinburgh, Scotland in her home overlooking the deep harbour of Newhaven. She comes from a long line of knitters, and she strongly suspects that brightly coloured yarn is interwoven throughout her DNA.

Your ticket to Curating Colour Palettes for Soulful Self-Expression includes a glass of fizz, nibbles, and a wee discount instore on the night.

6-7pm Friday 19th September 2025.
