    New Leaf Yarns

    Alpaca Wensleydale 4ply

    £21.00

New Leaf Yarns is all about creating interesting alpaca blends. This particular 4ply yarn combines the beautiful lustrous longwool of British Wensleydale sheep along with soft and fluffy Alpaca. This blend is available in 3 shades: Fawn, Caramel and Dark Chocolate. The Alpaca is all traceable back to the exact fellow or lady the yarn comes from.

The Fawn shade is brought to you by Darcy from Higham Alpacas in rural Fife, and Hooch, who lives on a hillside in Aberdeenshire on an organic smallholding with fine Wensleydale.

The Caramel shade is brought to you by Troubadour, a much loved lad from the small Hardford herd, and Josh has been raised across the county with another small private herd on organically grown, flower rich grassland.

The Dark Chocolate shade is brought to you by Chester and his grandmother Cherry from the Higham herd in rural Fife, and New Leaf Yarn’s own Cha Cha.

This yarn is spun by The Border Mill in Scotland.

Åsa Tricosa Ziggurats: 16 Elegantly Seamless Knits

    £35.00

Let Åsa Tricosa introduce you to the art of knitting beautiful top-down sweaters, using her innovative Ziggurat technique. Skilfully designed to minimise cutting and joining of skeins, and to maximise flowing and seamless knitting, the Ziggurat method is clever, addictive and produces well-fitting, well-finished sweaters.

The book is written for both experienced and novice knitters, and for those new to sweater knitting. The comprehensive and elegant patterns will guide you, step-by-step, through the basics of Ziggurating. You can choose to follow the patterns as written, to master the techniques and gain confidence. Or you can use Åsa’s extensive detailed tutorials, and customise the patterns to suit yourself – adapt the neckline, add pockets, tucks, or lined hems and cuffs to create truly unique knits.

This is Åsa’s invitation to discover the beauty of some of her favourite yarns, with designs knitted in a range of weights from heavy laceweight to aran from both commercial and indie dyers.
