LOCAL KNITTING & CRAFT GROUPS

Would you like to get involved with a local craft group? We have gathered a list of groups in the area that we know of (no affiliation).  Please get in touch if you have any information to add or would like us to list your group.

Mondays 

  • Knit Night: Mondays from 5pm at Jeremiah's Taproom Leith Walk EH7 4AA
  • Coffee and Craft: Mondays from 7pm-9pm at Currie Community Centre. £2 per night, no booking required. Anyone is welcome to bring their own craft project, chat and enjoy coffee and biscuits. There are also people who would be happy to help people to learn a new skill.  

Wednesdays 

  • Knit & Natter: Wednesdays at 1pm - 3pm at The Whispering Kettle, 26 Albert Pl, EH7 5HN. A relaxed, welcoming space for knitters and crocheters of all levels, with cake & unlimited tea for £6. It is very informal, so bring your own project, chat and stitch at your own pace.
  • Knit & Natter: Wednesdays at 2pm at Edinburgh Central Library EH1 1EG
  • Yarn and Yap: Wednesdays at 7pm - 9pm at The Brass Monkey Leith Walk EH6 5BR
  • Knit & Natter by Pregnancy Counselling & Care Scotland: Last Wednesday of every month at 2pm - 4pm at the Gyle Shopping Centre Foodhall
  • Community Open Craft Night fortnightly on a Wednesday at 5:30pm - 9pm at August_21 Coffee House 89 Causewayside. Hosted by Scarecrow Woodcrafts.

Fridays

  • The Craft Cafe: Fridays at 10:30am-12pm at the Hibernian Community Foundation, Easter Road Stadium, North Stand, 12 Albion Pl, EH7 5G. This is a free relaxed social crafting group, where participants can share a conversation over a cup of tea, slice of cake and engage in crocheting, painting, knitting and more! We provide all crafting materials, or people can bring your own projects. Everyone is welcome!

Saturdays

  • Knitting Group every Saturday at 2pm - 4pm at Piershill Library, 30 Piersfield  Terrace EH8 7BQ. Open to everyone, just come along
