The Coorie In Poncho is a top down poncho constructed with 4 sets of offset raglan increases evenly placed in the front, back and from neckband to wrist. The neckband itself is worked in 2x2 rib, and there are short rows worked in rib situated at the back of the garment to raise the back for comfort and fit, while also creating a neat V shape at the back neck.
The body of the poncho is knitted in stocking stitch in the round; the length can be altered to preference, with instructions given on how and where to measure. The poncho is finished with a rib section mirroring the 2x2 rib from the neckband, and which integrates the increase frequency at each of the four points to create a beautiful polished finish.
The sample is knit using Ginger Twist Studio Masham Mayhem DK 240m/262yds per 100g. Any yarn that meets gauge can be used, but take care to consider that it may change required meterage. My sample used 700m, but I am recommending 750m to take account of difference in gauge.
The length of the Coorie In Poncho can be easily modified. However, if you do decide to change the length from that stated in the pattern, be aware that your meterage will also change. Make sure you have extra yarn if planning to add length.
