My Fair Isle Journey" is a pattern book created in collaboration with Yuco Sakamoto, a longtime friend and fair isle knitting teacher. Yuco has spent 25 years mastering and teaching fair isle knitting and has taught these techniques in various knitting classes, including Walnut Kyoto and Tokyo. For this collection, she designed two sweaters, three cardigans, three vests and four accessories, all using traditional fair isle techniques.
As well as twelve knitting patterns, this book includes an overview of basic Fair Isle techniques to get you started, access to video tutorials for key techniques, an essay by Yuco and photographs of the Shetland Islands.
