Join us for a flax processing demonstration and learn to spin flax fibre into linen yarn with Rosie Bristow (co-founder of Fantasy Fibre Mill and textiles researcher at Heriot-Watt Uni). We will learn how to dress a distaff and spin yarn using a drop spindle. Rosie will also talk through the earlier stages of flax growing and processing, and you can take home some flax straw to try the full process at home! Flax fibre, drop spindle and refreshments are included in the ticket price!
